We worked primarily with Megan Foltz who was professional, charismatic, and responsive. If I owned a business, I would want my employees to follow her lead in regards to customer service. Out of all of the vendors we hired, McHale’s was the best to work with. I was able to call and ask my questions to almost any staff member and get an answer. I really think your staff is great at communication and all have it together. Brent was great. We had rave reviews of the tilapia! Great staff; I only caught two names: Tiffany Hammons and bartender Joe; the head chef was really nice and even helped the groom get where he needed to be before the ceremony began - wonderful professionalism. All my allergy (ridden) guests got the meals they needed as well as the vegetarian guests; high chairs or special accommodations were made with precision. My guests were very pleased with the dinner (as were Joe and I) and I would recommend McHale’s to everyone getting married!! Thanks to: Cassie, Brent, Tiffany, Joe, Head Chef and banquet manager!! Our event planner, Megan Foltz, exceeded every expectation. Not only was she incredibly professional and always helpful, her friendly and easy-going manner made the planning process as smooth as possible. She is fantastic and if she is any reflection at all on the other event planners at McHale’s, then everyone who books there will have a fabulous experience. All billing and contracts were made very clear and easy to understand. The final event went off without a hitch, all due to the fantastic planning on the parts of Megan, Bobby and the entire staff. There were no questions left unanswered. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. I had the unfortunate experience of not feeling very well on y wedding day, of all days. I have to say that the event staff went absolutely above and beyond to ensure my comfort during the event. Bobby went to retrieve Gatorade, thinking some electrolytes might make me feel better as I had not been able to eat all day. They were above and beyond, unbelievable. I would surely recommend McHale’s to anyone planning a wedding. The guess work and stress were virtually eliminated. I would do it again! (but hopefully won’t have to. Ha!) Megan, Microsoft Word doesn't allow me to put glittery unicorn stickers on it electronically. So my words will have to do. Thank you again for everything!

Megan Foltz was wonderful to work with. She made the whole process so easy! Katie, the banquet captain was amazing! She took care of us flawlessly. The other servers were pleasant and attentive. The bartender was efficient; she did a great job keeping up with the line, and she took care of whatever we needed. We have received so many compliments on the food – as I mentioned in my email to Megan (below), myself, my husband and most of my friends are in the hotel/wedding business, so we can be a very tough crowd when it comes to food and service and they have all had wonderful things to say. Megan, I cannot even tell you how wonderful everything was! From someone who does this for a living, I know exactly what to look for, and I can be extra critical about service and food and details, and I cannot think of one single thing that was out of place, missed, or could have been done better. I cannot thank you and your staff enough! The rooms were beautiful and exactly what I wanted, the staff was attentive and kind, and the food was amazing! I have received so many comments on how good the food was—and with so many banquet and catering managers, hotel GMs and Executive Chefs at my reception; you can imagine what a tough crowd that was. My friends and family are RAVING about it—and they are ridiculously picky! I really didn’t get a chance to eat any of it (my dress didn’t allow room for me to breath, let alone eat), and at the end of the night I was starving and looking for a piece of cheesecake. Katie the banquet captain saved the day! She had boxed up two meals as well as two pieces of each of our desserts and had it ready to go. I was so thankful I hugged her! I was so impressed by that detail that when I came back to work I told all of our catering managers that we need to start doing that too. :) It was the perfect touch at the end of a long day. Katie was also a saint before the ceremony, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, and she even ran upstairs twice looking for my lip gloss before I walked down the aisle. You have an amazing staff member in her, and I hope you will pass this along to her and let her know how much I truly appreciated her attentiveness. Dennis really wanted sweet tea with dinner, and she brewed a whole batch of it just for him. Amazing! Megan, thank you again for all your hard work, especially putting up with all my crazy changes the last few weeks before the wedding. You were so lovely and easy to work with, and you made the whole thing easy for me. I really appreciate all you did. I’m going to miss sending you my crazy emails :)

This training event involved multiple locations for meals as well as different catering companies because of contractual obligations. Our dinners at Elk Creek with McHale’s Catering was by far our best meals. Dining outside in October can create some hurdles; the nights were chilly and in one instance there was rain, but our food was always hot, looked amazing, and tasted fresh. The McHale’s staff was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating. My management team was floored when we looked at how affordable the cost per person was compared to the other companies we had to use. The only negative was that there never seemed to be enough hors d’oeuvres. Then again, it could be that they were so good that our guests had seconds and thirds before my staff had their firsts! Again, thank you for being above and beyond accommodating and helping us create an experience that our guests will not forget. If we are in the area again, we will be calling! Thank you again, Kaitlyn for surpassing our expectations at all three dinners. I made a comment about the price point in my budget analysis to management, they were floored (and actually had me double check my numbers) at how reasonably priced our dinners were compared to the other catering companies we had to use. Again—these were the best dinners we had the entire time we were in Kentucky hands down. Your staff was so much fun—my team had a blast with your banquet manager and bartenders, and the wait staff was always there when we needed something. We received information promptly; the planner listened to our ideas and made suggestions for the room layout. Brent was a pleasure to work with. She responded promptly to any questions that I had and made appropriate suggestions. She was always professional and pleasant. Nancy did an awesome job as our banquet manager. She kept in contact to make sure everything was going well and was attentive to the bride, groom and mother of the bride. We were extremely pleased with the event and will use McHale’s again.

Cassie, Overall, we were very, very happy with the outcome of the wedding and reception. Yourself and everyone we encountered at McHale's was more than accommodating to help us have the reception we wanted even when we weren't quite sure what that was. Kaitlyn, Oh my goodness, the wedding was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!! Hi, Cassie – Our event was great. I heard positive feedback on the food, both breakfast and lunch (warm scones!). The setup with the coffee station separate was awesome. Plus, guests loved the attentive staff refilling drinks and clearing tables. Location was great for us, as well as your help with my limited budget. Using half of the room as dining space and half as meeting space worked out surprisingly well. Loading in and out was easy, and being able to set up the day before was paramount to my lower stress level at 7am! Overall, as a meeting planner, I really appreciate your attention from a sales perspective, and the banquet staff onsite (Tiffany and Katie) were really good at taking care of my guests and communicating with me. Hi Megan, I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know what positive feedback we received about the rehearsal dinner. Mike and I were very pleased with the way everything turned out! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Drees and McHales’ services for any type of event. The food was delicious and Phyllis was fantastic!! I just can't say enough good things about her! The other staff members were adequate but Phyllis went above and beyond with her attitude and cheerfulness! Which, when we are entertaining guests it is extremely important to us to make them feel welcome and not just served. Smiles and pleasant interaction are valuable qualities!!! Megan Foltz was a sweetheart to work with throughout the planning process for my daughter’s wedding; she was very accommodating and patient throughout the entire planning. If I or my daughter had a question, we could call her or send an email, which she responded to immediately. Her personal input and expertise was greatly appreciated. Once we had everything finalized, Megan was in contact with the other vendors. I would highly recommend any of the McHale’s facilities. Both my daughters got married within a year’s time – one had their reception at The Marquise and the other at The Gardens. Both facilities treat you like royalty. Once you sign your contract with McHale’s, you have no worries. You get to enjoy your wedding reception because you know everything is taken care of. So many guests complimented both facilities on the professionalism of the employees and the respect that they gave them. McHale’s takes care of the details from being in contact with the vendors to meeting the needs of your guests, whether it be for a food allergy or a special food preparation. From start to the end of the wedding reception, I did not have any stress. As I say to people: When you have McHale’s as your reception facility, you just show up and enjoy because everything is handled for you. From getting your food, cake, drinks and packing your car at the end of the evening; McHale’s takes care of you and makes sure everything is done to your satisfaction. Many thanks again for your professionalism and giving both my daughters two fabulous wedding receptions. The hall manager, Bobby was very helpful throughout the process, as well. He gave a lot of advice as far as decorating and seating the facility. Bobby was also the banquet manager and made sure everything flowed smoothly prior to the event and that evening. All the employees that evening were constantly moving and doing their job, which was taking care of the guests and making sure their needs were met. Bobby did a super job getting the facility ready for the reception. His personal touches were greatly appreciated. Additionally, the guests commented on the uniqueness of the S’mores and how it added to the festivities of the evening. Continue what you are doing. I was very please with both The Marquise and The Gardens.

Cassie Dean was the planner for our event. She is just plain awesome. She was available to us, patient when answering questions, and presented a very calming influence during the planning and execution of the event. We loved working with her and want the McHale’s management to know that she is a great face for your company. The banquet staff was fabulous. Nancy, our banquet manager and the other staff treated John and me as if we were royalty. In addition, and equally important, they treated our guests like royalty. We had many unsolicited comments made about the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Please give them due accolades. THEY WERE WONDERFUL! It was quite apparent that each knew exactly what was needed to make the event flow smoothly. They were extremely helpful in packing up the remaining food and breaking down the table decorations. So unexpectedly nice.

Kaitlyn, I cannot say enough or put into words how perfect everything turned out for our Company Christmas Party at the Gardens of Park Hills. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the food was awesome, and the room was set up exactly as we had indicated. Our employees are still raving over the party and how much they enjoyed it. Only one glitch in the whole evening and that was when Santa did not show because I gave him the directions to our warehouse and not to the party! Now…let me tell you…if you have never been reprimanded by Santa…it is an experience you NEVER want to have to encounter: Now young lady, I will have you know, I stood out there for two hours waiting for people to start coming to that party… I am for sure on the naughty list this year…he let me know this in no uncertain terms. Your staff wanted me to let you know what became of Santa so you could tell them. But I have to say they were so helpful in trying to locate a replacement Santa or at least a Santa suit at the last minute for us. All turned out well when one of our employees ended up being an honorary Christmas Elf and handing out the presents. Again thank you for EVERYTHING…the evening was perfect.

We could not have been happier with our event. The managers were absolutely amazing and they made us feel so special.
